Communications in social media

Media environment is in a rapid change. Journalistic content is migrating to the Internet, giving everyone a possibility to make his or her opinions public in real time, often without any moderation or editing. This may have a great impact on the public image of companies and organizations as well as the attitudes of different stakeholders, including potential and existing clients, employees, investors, or other partners. Reputation can be damaged in a matter of minutes.

When a company wants to include social media in its reputation management, the first order of business is to find out what is said about the company. Who is talking, on which subjects, in what tone and how frequently?
